About Jane Iredale Cosmetics

Jane Iredale is the president and founder of Iredale Mineral Cosmetics, a company she founded in 1994 which brought the mineral makeup line jane iredale to the aesthetic industry. She was the first to supply this industry with a line of makeup that had skin care benefits.

Jane has always thought of makeup as an essential part of a woman's sense of well-being and she wanted to make that easy to achieve. That's why her mineral powders are a foundation, powder, concealer and sunscreen all in one, and why every product in the line is multi-functional. Her goal is to make products that look good, feel good and are good for the skin. Products must be easy to apply, as well, so that a woman can be her best in the shortest amount of time.

Quality Formulas with Skincare Benefits

Jane uses the highest quality ingredients available to ensure satisfaction with performance, coverage, application and texture. Their minerals conform to the most current technology available that guarantees broad spectrum sun protection. The quality extends to the vitamins and antioxidants they use which are pharmaceutical grade and certified organic where available.

Coverage

Because they use pure mineral pigment with no fillers such as talc, the foundations and concealers give exceptional coverage that require minimal touch-ups.

Non-Comedogenic

Jane's foundations form a protective barrier on the skin that allows it to breathe and function normally. Laboratory tests confirm that all of Jane's products are non-comedogenic and do not block pores.

Natural Preservatives

Where preservatives are needed, they use a combination of natural preservatives, always excluding parabens and phenoxyethanol.

Sun Protection

Six jane iredale products have earned the Skin Cancer Foundation Seal of Recommendation. To earn this seal, a manufacturer must provide scientific data showing that its products sufficiently and safely aid in the prevention of sun-induced damage to the skin.
